Tried the lasagna the other night. Best lasagna I've had in MANY years! I could only finish half so be prepared for a large portion. Of course I had salad and their GARLIC BREAD beforehand, so I was already partly full. I'm enjoying working my way down the menu.

No idea what people are talking about in these reviews. Four Corners is more of a pizza takeout spot than anything else. If you're looking for fine dining, this ain't it. But if you love delicious, thin crust pizza, chock-full of toppings, then look no further. I always get take-out and I always do the "Four Corners Special". Everyone who has ever eaten their pizza has raved about it. Probably the best pizza joint in the area...

Waking in the door .. You are greeted by a mixture of stale smell of alcohol imbedded in their carpet and cheesy sauce.. If you're here to drink , their bar is the first thing that greets you. The place seems to be filled with regulars and is greeted by their by the owner?/server. We ordered garlic bread (recommended by Yelpers) - it was A lot and good.. I ordered a side of marinara, sadly became unappetizing when I found an eyelash in it. We ordered pizza , half veggie, half meaty.. And ordered it thick crust. It was Ok.. The crust was undercooked and the veggie was hearty. Maybe I was comparing this place to Napoli's in Vallejo - that this place was very disappointing to me. Female Restroom light was broken.. They have a spotlight!! I could barely see in there. Have to say, not a place I would go back or recommend.

I can only review the food, because we ordered a pizza for pickup. First of all, no specials (so no deal for ordering pizza with garlic bread or anything like that) makes this place less desirable from the jump. The service was friendly over the phone and in person, so kudos for that. Pizza was nothing special. The crust does get soggy quickly but aside from that there's no significant flavor in the sauce or toppings that make this somewhere I'd pick over a national chain. A large set me back $20, for a one topping pie. Nothing to write home about but you could do worse!

I enjoy eating in an environment where I don't have to listen to some of the loud obnoxious customers whose every other word is f this or f him or, well one gets the idea. That kind of language does not belong in a family restaurant. Get rid of the poor language and I will give 5 stars. Signed, Randy

I really wanted to like this place. Took forever to be greated. Received appetizers right before our meals. Sent back 2 items. Service was non existent but she was also a bartender but not our problem. Pizza is not good. I'll give this place another shot. One day..

Pizza is really delicious!!! We tried the combo which included linguica, and it was AWESOME! My only complaint was the lady that initially took our order never came back until another young came in to work. We will definitely be ordering food from here, but very likely for pick up or delivery.

I ventured to this business establishment with two friends of mine for lunch. To my surprise we were the only patrons at the restaurant during this time on a weekday. Little did we know this would work out to our advantage. There was only one person working whom I'm assuming was the owner because he also acted as the waiter and chef. We first ordered the cheesy garlic and since we were the only customers at the time, we asked the gentleman if we could have a half and half pizza (half pepperoni and the other half chicken pesto with olives and anchovies) that was also cooked deep dish style. I am assuming since we were the only customers in the restaurant at this time, he honored our request to have our pizza made deep dish style. I was truly astonished at how well everything was prepared and cooked; all by one person. The garlic bread was immensely delicious and our pizza remarkably appetizing and stuffing. It may have taken this gentleman a long time to cook everything to serve us, but I cannot really complain about that since he was the only one working and my buddies and I were occupied by an ice cold pitcher of the ever so refreshing beer, Coors Light. I was truly impressed by my experience at Four Corners Pizza-N-Pasta and recommend others to dine here!

The drinks are nice and strong which is a bonus but the food is ok. 9/10 the pizza is burnt on the bottom and the flavor of the food is just lacking. Four Corners is not my preferred place for Italian food but it's as good as you're going to get in El Sobrante.

Food is def 4.5 stars as the Calzone was sooooo yummy!! Bar was a lil sparse the waitress came back 3 times to tell me theyre out of what i ordered. But....the calzone was one of the best i had! The ambiance can def use some revamping as the vacuum cleaner is in plain site. Room looks as though my great grandma helped with the decor.. but hey least its clean...lets not even talk about the 1800s saloon ahumm i mean bar at the entrance. I was waiting for a cowboy to show up or ghost play the piano! But overall the service was excellent n food as well. Next time ima just have them deliver!

I wanted to like this place: it reminds me of the mom and pops we went to when I was a kid. There's a sign by the door that suggests wait time is longer because they cook "quality food" from scratch. (Ya know, you're not Chili's, so I kinda expected homestyle cooking, so why apologize for it?) Looking back, it struck me as an odd or kind of defensive disqualifier, offputting to encounter first thing in the door, and it's a lot like the intellectually lazy "It is what it is", or "don't say we didn't warn you". But I'm sure I'm overthinking it. Isn't it sad these days that little restaurants have to work so hard to convince diners that they're better than the chains? Best service at Four Corners seems to be given to the regulars. We were new. You apparently seat yourself. We ordered, then waited. Salad came fast. It was a couple chunks of iceberg lettuce, a handful of croutons, some shredded carrots and way too many too-wide shreds of red cabbage (does anyone even like those?). Then we waited some more. Drinks never came. The server had forgotten, but apologized. Finally a sip, and it's watery coke, too much gas. An hour later we were still waiting for dinner. We stood to leave and asked for to go boxes. I watched the kitchen activity as three cooks and one server tried to figure out which dishes were ours and which were another party's. Twice my entree was put on the service window and sent to another guest, and twice it came back. They consulted the tabs, couldn't figure out which order went where. The place was under populated for a local place on a Friday night, so you can't excuse this confusion as what happens when it's busy. Maybe five tables is busy? We left. The food smelled good on the way home and I was relieved. Once home and finally we can eat. Pizza was good. Fresh ingredients. Ravioli was underdone, and they'd forgotten my meatballs and meat sauce. I didn't want to write a disappointed review. -- The marinara was good, I could taste the olive oil. The spaghetti was al dente. The owner had been circulating while we were there, circulating...sort of. He greeted us as if nothing was wrong. Maybe this kind of performance is normal? The pizza was good enough to try again. But my husband threatens that if tonight's experience repeats, he'll only pay for what we eat or drink, and not the items that don't make it to table. I didn't want to write a negative review, but pretty much at every turn this "little engine" couldn't. Maybe someone just needs to tell me that they don't need my patronage, that they're doing just fine thanks to the regulars.

BEST EAST COAST ITALIAN FOOD IN THE BAY AREA. I CAN NOT understand these low ratings. No, it's not round table that sends flyers in the mail with a free bottle of soda. It's not fine dining (although the food is good enough to be fine dining.) It's got a lot of character. The food is made from scratch. You order it, it could take awhile because it's being made just for you. I loved the atmosphere. I take my kids there often. I've lived in the bay area since 1985 and this is far and away the best Italian food I've ever had on the west coast. It's east coast sicilian italian, cheesy and a lot of marinara. I've lived in San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley for a combined 30 yrs and I seek out Italian food all the time. If this restaurant was not tucked away in El Sobrante and Crockett (his son runs that one), it would be packed every night. It blows north beach Italian food away. I'm from Philadelphia and it could up against a lot of South Philly Italian joints. My dad lives on Italian food. He just married a woman, last name Amoroso, of Amoroso Bread (south philly piason royalty). It's the bread any respectable hoagie and cheesestake joint uses. They thought I was nuts to take them there. I won $20 on that bet, they loved it. The owner John is from Afganistan. I asked him how the hell did he get the food so 'right on.' He said when he bought the place from an old Italian guy, part of the deal was he would never change any of the recipes. He kept his promise. If I knew the restaurant biz and had some dough, I'd take John and his business and plant it in a high traffic area. I love that it's a secret, John the owner is so great, I just want people to know about it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Passing through town on our way home and looked up pizza on yelp. This place popped up so we decided to give it a shot. Pizza was yummy, it had the thin crust and flavorful sauce that my mom loves. The cheesy garlic bread was amazing and looks like it was made with olive oil instead of butter. Owner was super nice and service was prompt. We'd definitely stop by again.

I finally gave them another chance- my first visit was dismal. I am glad I did because the PIZZA is DELICIOUS! The sauce is vert tasty and flavorful, the toppings are plentiful and not greasy the way some pizzas are. We have played it safe by just ordering the pizza since then. The owner is obviously proud of the pizza's as he should be. Just don't order the fried ravioli :)

Let me begin by saying what's good about this place.....uh.... Oh yeah, nothing. To be fair I have never had the pizza so I cant comment on that. But boy oh boy did my wife and I have some AWFUL tortellini and chicken parmesan. My wife ordered her tortellini which is a GO-TO for her in italian restaurants. Hers arrived before my plate and she let me try her food. The tortellini was... Edible but sub par. It had a powdered consistency to the filling which was off putting. I then had this plate placed before me of what the owner/waiter called chicken parmesan. It looked more like a charred patie and spaghetti. I took one bite and was hit with a earthy, almost dirt taste... The sauce was horrific. I have NEVER sent an dish back in my life until then. Whats even worse is the owner got a tad combative saying "the sauce excellent!" well.... not to me or my wife. The owner did not allow me to order something else, refused a refund and tried to compensate by dropping the price of our drinks. The poor food and poor customer service doomed this place for me. Also, the wait for our food was extremely long though it was only us and another couple dining at the time. Four Corners is DOA. You'd be happier with Little Caesars down the street.

As a foodie living in SF, if I could give this owner a lower review I would. We reserved the back room for 1 hour to do an event hoping to support the small local business in the area instead of going to a Round Table that we usually go to. Things started off ok, but at the end the owner John, walked in the room with a terrible attitude. He was upset that we had taken more that one hour in the room (we went over by about 30 min.), and complained that we only spent $48 dollars and taken up his parking spaces. I expressed that we were never told about a minimum and didn't think it was a big deal that we stayed a little bite longer since there was nobody in his entire restaurant, even on a Saturday night. And next time, he shouldn't hesitate to tell us that we were over the 1 hour (We actually made his restaurant looked better, so customers could see that people actually eat there). He even yelled at my friend who parked in the front stating that he took up too much space and insisted he moved his car and park somewhere else. Can you believe this guy John? 1. His parking spaces are not marked very well and need a paint job. 2. Both his men & women restrooms didn't have any paper towels. 3. And the pizza was worse than Domino's. As a business owner myself, I believe it's all about the approach, especially dealing with your customers. You can't think short term. Yes we spent $48 on 2 pizzas and some chicken wings, but we only had 8 people, how much was he expecting us to spend? $100? I don't mind spending more but, he didn't even tell us there was a minimum. If he did, that would have been fine. He could have kindly pulled me to the side and say, "Thanks for coming, but next time when you reserve our room, we require a $100 minimum to use the room or you guys will have to sit in the smaller area." I would have totally been cool with that. I could have understood his frustration if he had a bunch of people waiting for a place to sit, but once again, we were the ONLY ones there. In business, you have to think long term. If he treated us right, we would have used this place more often for our company's Thanksgiving and Christmas parties where we usually have 50+ people and bring in over $1000 to the business (I was already planning that). I now understand why the place is dead especially on a Saturday night, which should be the busiest night for him. John has no appreciation for his customers and has short term thinking. I tried to not believe the other 1-2 star reviews in the past but if you don't believe us, go see for yourself.

Four corners is an amazing experience. They have some of the best chicken Marsala I've ever had. Their garlic bread is soft and perfectly seasoned/cooked. Their cheese ravioli was good as well. I also had a salad (blue cheese) and I can almost bet their dressing is made in the restraunt as well. Perfect flavor with a slight spice not quite like any other blue cheese I've had. Over all 5 stars. Great food, customer service, prices, portions and timing!

Four Corners is schmackin!! You should eat the meat lovers at the restaurant to get its fullest potential. The dough, sauce, and meats are flavorful. I'm gonna go get me some, just talking about this, mmmmm.

Best Italian food I've had in the area! The Calzones are to die for! Sure they take a little time getting the food out of the kitchen but keep in mind they make EVERYTHING from scratch, from bread to sauce. And believe me it is soo worth the wait. But if you're inpatient like me, call ahead! They do takeout or you could call ahead and place the order so the food is ready by the time you get there and sit down. I highly recommend this place to anyone with a taste for true Italian cuisine.

I decided to get a pizza here instead of R. Table... I had only tried this place once before and that was probably 8 years ago. I guess they stay in business with old regulars. I ordered a pepperoni, sausage and mushroom to go. The two stars are for the sausage and pepperoni, very good but the crust was aweful. I wish it had been burnt, maybe then it would have had flavor! Crust was "flat". Can't call it thin because that might indicate it was thin in a good, crispy, thin pizza way. They didn't cook the pizza long enough, not brown on the bottom and you could roll it up like a tortilla. The cheese tasted like it had some filler in it, definately not 100% cheese. The mushrooms had the consistency of canned, a bit slimey, gross. I won't go back, not even in another 8 years.

On the plus side, it has good pizza. I don't mind that it takes a while for the food to come out. It's made fresh and is pretty good. That's the one nice thing about this place and the reason I have had several take-out orders from this place. Unfortunately, too many bad things happened on my first dine-in there tonight. Where do I start? -Slow, not particularly friendly service. I stood at the bar for five minutes for the waitress and she didn't even so much as acknowledge my presence even though she saw me. -Her waist-long hair was not tied back. Ewwwwwwww. -They were out of the dish that I wanted so I had to order something else. -The bathroom was out of soap. To their credit, I saw an employee go into the bathroom to refill the soap once we notified them. -The manager started arguing on the phone with a customer within earshot. -The veggie pizza that we ordered to go didn't have artichokes on it. The menu says it comes with artichokes and we got artichokes when we got it to go last time. If any one of those were an isolated incident it would be forgivable, some more forgivable than others. Too many things added up to a disappointing night. As I told my mother, I won't be going back. Not even for takeout. Update: My Mom called the manager to complain about the service. Here's how it went: Mom: The waitress' long hair was not tied back. Owner: She isn't normally a waitress, she's actually a nurse. (Then I would have a higher expectation of someone in the health field to know health code violations and good hygiene practices) Mom: We didn't get artichokes on our veggie pizza, and they've always been there on our to-go order. No one said anything to us. Owner: We were out that night. Mom: My daughter went to the bar to pay the bill and was completely ignored. She just went back to the table because the waitress / nurse saw her but didn't say anything. Owner: Come back and I will treat you like family!

Horrible service here seems to be consistent if one is not White and/or local. Before I even parked the car, my group of friends noticed we were already being mean mugged by the people inside. I passed this off and we all decided to try this place at least once since we were already here. BAD CHOICE! Just like another Yelp user mentioned, (Joanne D. on 1/26/2014 under "Not recommended reviews") our group was seated outside while there were clearly a multitude of empty tables inside the dining area. I bet it had something to do with our race, which is different from the patrons who were seated. Waitress was not helpful or friendly during the entire ordeal. She did not introduce herself or even ask what drinks we wanted as we perused the menu for 15 minutes outside with cool wind that late afternoon. Waitress brought out glasses of hard tap water after 20 minutes without asking us if we wanted any other beverages. She must have assumed Asian = don't tip = cheap = water. Their loss as we wanted to see the wine list and get a bottle. Food if you can call it that came out after almost an hour after we ordered and is not even worth the time to type out about how bland it was. Chef Boyardee from a can tastes better than what we were served here. However, the pizza is something else. Not only is the pizza here overpriced ($20+), but it was extremely greasy and very Jewish on the ingredients. I wouldn't dare say this to my group of friends that day but we should have went to Domino's down the road instead for better and cheaper pizza without the wait and hate. I would choose to patronise Little Caesar's Pizza instead before I would even consider eating here again. It was THAT bad.

After having a poor experience the last time, I foolishly tried to plan a dinner with our Girl Scout Troop. Despite calling days in advance and the day off, and asking for the pizza's to be made ahead of time, we had to wait almost an hour. When our young girls got loud (little kids can only wait so long), the owner John, was very disrespectful how he talked to the parents. And, worst, we sat there for 25 minutes with no server. The waitress was not not duty till twenty minutes after we arrived. This was after making arrangements weeks in advance. I had to ask for water and was told by the owner he doesn't make money on water. WTF? Seriously? We had to help the server put out plates, cups, napkins and water pitchers. We asked for drink orders to be taken and they never were. One dad did get a beer with an expiration date of 2009. Seriously? And when we complained we were told by John he was not making any money on us and called me sweetie. He also blocked off the parking in the front of the place so his regulars could have their spots. I guess the after work crew had to get their alcohol fix and that more priority that a community group with young children. The whole experience was appauling. Do NOT go to this place of business. The service is AWFUL, the owner rude and archaic and the food/drink stale.

My business partners and I had prior engagement with the owner, John, to reserve the back space for an hour while we have our business meeting. We spent $50 on food while there from 7:30-8:50. John got upset when he realized we spent $48 & stayed 20 min longer than we said. Who does that? He had a nasty attitude and so did his wife. Food is not that great, I used to be a regular, now I'm a never again. This is why his business is not thriving. Not to mention, both the Mens restroom and the women's restroom did not even have paper towels in it!

The search is still on for a GREAT tasting pizza joint in the Pinole/Hercules area! For starters, they were late delivering as promised (in 45-60 min). They showed up an hour and 20 minutes after I ordered. The owner was the delivery driver and he did not apologize for being late, just said they were "really busy." While fishing for my money, he offered to knock a whole dollar and change off the $32 tab (which was for a large combo and 2 liter of Coke + $2 delivery fee). The pizza itself was kinda on the salty side and skimpy on sauce. The pizza was not all that hot (but hey, it was probably cold from laying in the guy's car for 30-40 minutes). The pizza was very thin; maybe I should've asked for pan style? The dough wasn't anything special and the ingredients tasted fairly fresh. Honestly, I longed for Round Table when I had my first bite of it. Will I be back? Eh, probably not. Round Table or Mountain Mike's will likely be my go-to pizza spot unless some place awesome pops up around here. Oh, I should mention the girl on the phone who took my order was very pleasant to deal with. Best of luck and I hope this was just the product of an "off night."

I absolutely love this place! Every time I come here they treat me like family. I usually come with my regular group of buddies and we always have a good time. The pizza is amazing, made exactly the way I like it. The atmosphere is friendly and the guys who run it always treat us right. Definitely my go to pizza place.

3 stars for the service- when they say pick up is 40 min they really mean an hour . 4 stars on the chicken fettuccine- I add shrimp and it'scream , fatty, and cheesy. I had to add a little salt , but it's ok 5 stars on the bar- I had two glasses if wine while waiting for my pick up and it was not crowded when I came . Seats are limited 1 star on the 3 ants that I saw on the bar table ( I was flicking them off the table)

I was hoping things had improved. I love pizza and they are so close to me! I decided to give them another chance - still disappointed! Waitress was preoccupied with anything and everyone else besides me. She ended up leaving the restaurant (end of shift?) without informing me, but made sure I had paid before she left. Pizza was OK - maybe worth 3 stars. I will not be eating at this restaurant again.

This is the second time I've experienced Four Corners. The first time we went in and got a table. Service was mediocore but the food was good. Tonight I called in my order for pick up. I ordered 3 calzones and 1 pizza, I expected it to take a few minutes longer for the calzones. I was told 35-40 minutes, so I was there in that time frame and was told 8 more minutes when I got there. Not only were the waitresses wearing flip flops, we got our food finally an hour and ten minutes after I called in. I don't think they started making the pizza until we got there. Keep in mind that would have been the time we sat waiting if we had sat down. I asked to see the manager and was told the owner was there, but then my waitress came back and said he went on a delivery, so I had to tell this poor girl how unacceptable this was. For the price they charge (my bill was $58, that's 3 calzones and a pizza) it shouldn't take an hour and ten minutes to get your food. And...two of the calzones were raw in the middle. Oh wait! I forgot! As we're backing out of our parking place in the screwed up parking lot) the waitress comes out and says "I'm sorry, we gave you the wrong pizza! I'll be right back!" Won't be going back.

A really great place for home made food! If you are in a hurry, skip this place. The mussels, pasta, DRINKS, ARE GREAT! While the waitstaff is typical small town, the FOOD is AMAZING! Dinner, doeas come with soup or salad, and the GARLIC BREAD, I recomend that you order GARLIC BREAD when you arrive. WOW!

I just moved into the area and I wanted to find some good spots. El Sob/Pinole is full of mediocre food but this place was the first to really impress. The pizza is very good! My boyfriend and I scarf it down whenever we go and try and fail to control ourselves so we have leftovers. We also felt very welcomed by the whole staff. There are almost always a few regulars in there chatting with them. The environment is casual, relaxed, but it still looks decent inside. I'm giving it 4 because 5 apparently means- woohoo as good as it gets! I have yet to have my socks knocked off. Regardless- I definitly recommend this place if you live in the area. Good food, good people.

Let me start by saying my cocktail, perfectly made. That's important but the food, ehhh. Spaghetti with meat sauce, sauce was tasty but separated. It happens to me at home but I'm an amateur not a pro. I expect better from a restaurant kitchen. Call me a snob. And the prices...I could have had the same meal/drinks for the same price in The City. Hear good things about the pizza. Perhaps I'll try it. In the mean time there are lots of other Italian restaurants to try around here. Oh yes. The ultra-bright lighting throughout and high-chairs stacked in the entrance to men's room (making it difficult to enter) really add to the ambiance of Four Corners. I guess with fewer than half a dozen diners for dinner why bother...right?

I really like their pizza and all the fresh ingredients. I'm definitely a repeat costumer. I have 2 complaints however. One: every time I order my pizza they tell me it will take 20-30 minutes for pick up. But when I get there 30 minutes later I end up having to wait another 10 minutes. Two: I ordered the cheesy garlic bread once. It was huge! But there was more bread than garlic and cheese. Also the garlic bread was not cut up. I ended up burning my finger trying to tear it apart.

Four Corners...what are you good for? Watching the game on the flat screen TV at a table while ordering pitchers of cost effective beer! Your pizza? Not so much. It was super thin crackery crust and the sauce tasted cheap. The layer of cheese kind of floated on top of the sauce and just slipped and slid everywhere. Don't like it! Sorry if you have Pizza in your name you better bring it!

Great people, owner is a wonderful guy. Sadly I have ordered roughly 10 times, 7 of which they got wrong (delivery, even worse hard to send back if starving). Its always a crapshoot (with loaded dice) what relationship the food I get will have to what I ordered. On plus side whatever random item gets brought its always yummy. Also, don't fall for the "25 minute delivery," statement. Try 50. Again its good, but its so random. Pickup more reliable, as I check it and send it back when the spaghetti I ordered turns out to be oh, who can predict? Veal maybe. Have fun and view it as an adventure. Reasonable cost. Pizza is east coast style thin crust. I love it.

Our waiter was condescending and brash. It took 15 minutes to get water and another 10 to (finally) get our meal. When it arrived, it was the wrong dish (the pesto looked like barf). All things considered, we ended walking out without taking a bite. The entire experience made my pregnant wife miserable; making me very irritated.

WOW I guess I have to give them one star since Yelp mandates this.. All I need to say is, my meatballs that I paid extra for were burnt so bad, that the garbage disposal could not even break them down. If this is Italian home cooking, then I guess there are a lot of others out there that have wasted their money. If anyone is looking for baseballs, this is the place.. Get the meatballs.

I just went here for the first time ever! I had always seen it and wondering about it, but never went until last Sunday! It was really good in fact and I was happy to find a good local pizza place literally 3 minutes down the street from my house! This place makes homemade ranch dipping and the man who appeared to be the owner made me feel very welcome right away. He even told me that if there is anything NOT on the menu, to ask them if they can make it. I thought that was pretty darn cool. I would recommend Four Corners Pizza and Pasta! Thank you for being local!

We were seated quickly, more or less just told to sit wherever we wanted. Service was slow, and that seems to be what everyone says. But if the waitress didn't have her friends hanging out at the restaurant, maybe she would have been more attentive. She did everything she was supposed to (i.e. refill sodas, and ask how things are after we got our meal) but she almost didn't stop walking when she came by our table. Kind of a fly by approach. We live close, so this might be more of a delivery place for us. The food was just ok. Wouldn't suggest the soup. Never. Don't do it. The sausage and pepper sandwich was simply two pieces of white bread toasted and a sausage patty with some peppers. I was thinking it was going to be more like a sausage link. Huge portion but not my favorite. The menu is large, so we would try something else next time, and it will be delivery or pick up

Our family ate there tonight (Dad's Birthday) and were more than pleased - great food (and lots of it), excellent, friendly service. Pleasantly surprised when the bill came. What else do you need? Having just moved to El Sobrante, we'll definitely be back!

My family and I dropped in because we thought.. cool a local place to grab some pizza- you know? An old school mom and pop shop. We were seated quickly and given water- our orders taken. My family ordered Pizza- half olive and cheese - the other half Hawaiian. I ordered a cheese and meat calzone- knowing these usually take a bit of time to cook. Mind you- its Ramadan and I am fasting- so I couldn't eat until 7:30ish. We arrived right before my fasting ended. So we proceeded to chat and the time ticked by- 30 mins then an hour.. finally after an hour the pizza shows up. During this time the waitress never refilled our water glasses or came to check in on us. Time continues to tick by and the Calzone still has yet to arrive at the table. I notice the waitress go talk to the cook and point out there is an item missing from the order at our table-- MY CALZONE! Now totally ticked- thirsty and SUPER hungry- already from fasting all day.. after an hour and a half my Calzone arrives. I cut into it to check the inside is actually cooked because having a previous experiance where that happened I wanted to make sure this wasn't the case. Surprise surprise.. the inside of the Calzone was stone cold. Called the waitress over and pointed out the inside was still cold- cheese unmelted etc.. She takes it back to the kitchen and I continue my vigil for my Calzone. When the Calzone again reappears piping hot this time- the owner comes over to check in with us about the meal. He apologized for the Calzone, told us a bit about the history of the place and how he also bakes fresh bread every day too. He also mentioned he would cook a deep dish pizza upon request.. if I asked for it at this location. Finally I begin to eat my Calzone- with relish might I add. I made sure to slather on the tomato sauce on the side. Hunger is the best cook. However the only thing that saves this place from one star is the fact the owner is super nice and the food is pretty good for El Sobrante.

came here with my dad to grab something to eat, we ha passed this place many times before and we finally decided to come in. once we got the menu, i was a little turned off by the prices, and the fact that they charged for bread and butter. I've been to nicer places, where bread is free. i dont know, maybe it was just me. I didnt want to be rude and just leave so i ordered jalapeno poppers, 10 minutes passed, then 20, then 30. it really doesnt take that long to fry some damn poppers. once they got to table, i counted only 5 poppers. for 7 dollars? hmmmm.... on top of that, they were half frozen. im never coming back, and they wonder why theyre always empty.

Just like the one in Crockett, except: The food is a bit oily. Still good, but there is definitely a difference. The portions are just a little bit smaller (still fairly good, though). They charge for bread. WTF? When I order a $12 plate of spaghetti, I expect a measly piece of bread to go with it. There's something a little bit miserly about that. The crowd that's been there when I went in was NOT welcoming. Very weird vibe, like you just walked into some super-secret cult meeting or something. Bizarre.

This is the best tasting pizza in this area (not counting the deep dish style Zach's, but that's a different category). Comes closest to the mid-west, east coast flavor that I prefer. The sausage tastes homemade. Guess I'm lucky that I happen to live right up the street from this place, because delivery is not offered on a regular basis I've read, and they do take a while so you're best to call ahead even when dining in. FYI, Four Corners- I would order more often if you ever offered specials, but perhaps my waistline is better off for lack of the coupons.

This is our favorite neighborhood spot! John and his family provide a very inviting atmosphere. They are always in a good mood. The try hard to please. My wife and I pick drinks out of the drink book. If we like them, they highlighlight them, so, if we can't remember the next time, we have a head start. The food is good and both food and drinks are modestly priced.

A friendly, neighborhood ambiance. Owned by a very nice family-good employees and they appear to be good to them. (one of the waitresses has her little very well-behaved son there in the evening while she's working. The owner, John, sometimes sits and plays or visits or just hangs out with him---nice, huh). They have a great TV (tuned on sports channels). There's a bigger room for meetings or large groups or families. The drinks are potent, generous and fairly priced. I like the ceasar salad with chicken. The chicken is very well-prepared-moist and flavorful. casual interior. Parking difficult.

Best pizza in El Sobrante! It's a local yokel favorite. My husband says it's the closest crust to New York pizza around West County.

The pizza is very good but they are usually very slow and tend to make mistakes. Be sure to double check your order.

came in for lunch expecting a few heads, but it was empty. sat down real quick and ordered their special with the pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, onions. it was pretty tasty. the crust could have been crispier and less saggy, but it wasn't bad at all. also ordered their advertised chicken parmesan with some pasta, but that was kind of ehh. the chicken was dry and there wasn't much noodles as i thought, but i shouldn't be expecting much i guess. the wait wasn't too long, especially when you have friends to talk to. plus, they have a big tv to watch as you wait. next time i come by, i'd like to try their calzone and maybe a salad or something.

dude. YES, again! i just got done rating the one in crockett, that one got a 5 also. if i could give this one 6 stars, i totally would because this is the superior Four Corners Pizza place. This particular pizzeria makes the thinner east coast style of pizza crust, but with the same monstrous toppings that you get at the other one! The sandwiches at this one are understandably awesome, BUT this one has a minced/crushed sausage sandwich that is TO DIE FOR! to top it off, when you order a sandwich from this one, it comes with SPAGHETTI! either place is a win win for you, this one just happens to be superior.

It was my first time there. Dont bother going in, its pretty much a dump. However, my pizza was well above average and the meat ravioli's were pretty good. I will definitely get a pizza from there again. I rate it better than any other pizza places in the area. Id give it a 3.5 if you were allowed.

Pizza is the best in the area. The only reason it is not five stars is the service is still a little slow and inconsistent. I usually have a beer at the bar while waiting for the pizza so it's not all bad.

WONDERFUL pasta and sandwiches. Cant wait to try the pizza. Service is a little slow, but if your in a hurry I suppose you could go to a fast food place. I used to think Olive Garden was the best. Ive changed my mind now.

Hmm where do I start? Finally tried the sausage sandwich that everyone was raving about and don't get me wrong it was good but not great! Had the cheese pizza and it was good! Pasta meh!! But the cheese garlic bread was fantastic I'm assuming it is about a 1,000 cal. But hey you gotta eat once in awhile! When dining in beware service is slow but hey it looks like a mom and pop operation!

Best pizza this side of Berkeley. I have been there several times and get their piping hot pizza. The cheese is fresh and stretches for miles. The crust is crisp on the edges and a perfect thickness within the pie. The lasagna and garlic bread are must tries. My children use to like mine until they tried their homemade lasagna. Several people complained about the wait time but in exchange you get a fresh, homemade, delicious meal.

Finally a non chain pizza place with delicious pizza! There used to be more Mom and Pop pizza places around but after Pizza Co. closed and I found a fly in between the dough and cheese at De Anza Pizza, our pizza option was strictly Round Table. Well, no more! The combination is yummy! There are so many toppings they fall off the pizza! Yummy. Wait time may be an issue for dining in but I always just call ahead and pick up on the way home. I've also had the sausage sandwich and barbeque wings - delish!

I love Four Corners Pizza! I will admit that I've never actually set foot in the restaurant however I have ordered delivery from them many many times and am sure I will do so again in the near future....tonight maybe??? Great authentic pizza place pizza, tangy sauce, crust is perfectly doughy but not too soft...yum! Plus they are accomodating. The first time I ordered from them (so they didn't know me) their credit card machines were down. Rather than say cash only (leaving me with no means to get a pizza) they accepted a check from a complete stranger and apologized all over themselves for their broken technology. Gotta love a restaurant that trusts its customers!

The pizza here is really good, probably the best in the area. Main problem is that if you order takeout, the'll tell you 20 minutes, and when you get there 20 minutes later, you have to wait another 20 minutes for it to come out. This has happened every time I've ordered pizza to take out. I've only eaten in the restaurant once and I will never go back again to dine in. We were seated promptly, but no-one came to our table to take our order for over 30 minutes, despite the fact that the place was empty and there were 2 (terrible) waitresses. It then took another 45 minutes to get our food, which was ok at best. It then took another 30 minutes to get our check. Definitely not worth it. In summary, go somewhere else for dinner. If you want pizza to take out, be sure you have extra time to kill.

Watched the world series here with the fam. Nice place, and we basically had a whole room with a big flat screen to ourselves. Service was slow, but food was good.

Our local go-to pizza joint is three cuts above any other indie joints and four cuts above Little Seizures, Ground Table, Dominators, etc. Prepared fresh, prepared in-house, with pleasant service and home atmosphere, and the availability of adult beverages doesn't hurt either. Honestly, I don't see how that nearby chain stays in business.

This is the second location for this Crockett restaurant. Good sold old style pizza. Nothing amazing, but good with hand spun dough and generous toppings. The house-made Italian bread is very good.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
